Privacy Policy

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

Wordwyrm is published by Poppy Studios. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the Wordwyrm iOS app, contact Poppy Studios for support, or visit this privacy-policy page.

2. Information kept on your device

Wordwyrm stores the following game information locally on your iPhone or iPad so that the app can work and remember your choices:

• High scores and current game score
• Saved-run information and game progress
• Sound, appearance, and game-mode preferences
• Tutorial completion and first-play guidance status
• Remove Ads entitlement status received from Apple

Poppy Studios does not receive this local gameplay information and does not use it to create a player profile. Deleting Wordwyrm removes its locally stored game data, subject to normal device backups managed by you or Apple.

3. Advertising and Google AdMob

Unless you purchase Remove Ads, Wordwyrm uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display banner advertisements. Google and participating advertising providers may automatically process information such as:

• IP address and approximate or general location derived from it
• Device, app, and app- or developer-bounded identifiers
• Device model, operating-system version, app version, and language
• Ads shown, ad impressions, clicks, and other ad interactions
• App interactions and events used for advertising measurement
• Crash logs, performance information, and other diagnostics

Wordwyrm configures Google AdMob to serve contextual, non-personalized ads only and disables Google’s publisher first-party identifier. Google may still use limited information to provide and measure advertising, limit how often an ad appears, prevent fraud and abuse, and maintain its services. Poppy Studios generally receives aggregated advertising reports rather than information tied to your name.

Consent and non-personalized advertising

Wordwyrm uses Google’s User Messaging Platform. In regions where a privacy decision is required, the app may ask about the limited data processing or device storage needed to deliver and measure ads. Wordwyrm requests contextual, non-personalized ads regardless of whether a user’s choices could otherwise permit personalized advertising.

Wordwyrm does not currently request permission to access Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers through the App Tracking Transparency prompt.

Sale or sharing

Poppy Studios does not sell personal information for money, and Wordwyrm does not request personalized or targeted advertising. Where required, users can review or change their advertising privacy decisions through the Privacy Choices control shown inside Wordwyrm.

4. Remove Ads purchase

Wordwyrm offers an optional one-time Remove Ads purchase through Apple’s StoreKit and the App Store. Apple processes the purchase, payment information, Apple Account, receipts, and transaction records under Apple’s policies. Poppy Studios does not receive your payment-card details or Apple Account password.

The app checks Apple’s verified entitlement information to determine whether ads should be removed. You can restore the purchase through Wordwyrm using the same Apple Account.

5. Information you send directly

If you email Poppy Studios, we receive your email address and whatever information you choose to include. We use it only to answer your question, investigate a problem, protect the app and its users, or meet a legal obligation.

Please do not send sensitive personal information when requesting support.

6. This website

This website contains no advertising, analytics, tracking pixels, or consent-dependent scripts. It does not set its own cookies. The hosting provider may process ordinary technical request information, such as an IP address, to deliver and secure the page under the provider’s own privacy terms.

7. Retention and deletion

• Local game information: remains on your device until you delete the app or remove the data through device-management or backup controls.
• Advertising information: is retained by Google and other participating providers according to their policies, legal obligations, and your privacy choices.
• Purchase information: is retained by Apple according to Apple’s policies and legal obligations.
• Support email: is kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain necessary records, resolve disputes, or comply with law.

8. Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of certain targeted advertising or data sharing.

• Use Privacy Choices inside Wordwyrm when it is available to review or change advertising choices.
• Delete Wordwyrm to remove its locally stored game information from that device.
• Use Google My Ad Center to manage Google advertising preferences.
• Email ps.prisub@gmail.com with a privacy request.

Because Poppy Studios does not maintain player accounts or a gameplay database, we may not possess information that can be linked back to you. For data controlled independently by Google or Apple, you may also need to contact that provider directly. We will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law and will not discriminate against anyone for exercising privacy rights.

9. Children’s privacy

Wordwyrm is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed to children under 13. The app does not ask players to create accounts or submit their name, email address, contacts, photos, precise location, or other personal details to Poppy Studios.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has sent personal information directly to Poppy Studios, contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

10. Service providers and international processing

Wordwyrm relies on Google for advertising and consent management and on Apple for app distribution and purchases. These providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live, subject to their published privacy commitments and applicable safeguards.

Poppy Studios uses these providers to operate Wordwyrm and expects information accessed through the app to be protected consistently with this policy, the providers’ contractual commitments, and applicable law. Their independent processing is also governed by their own privacy policies.

11. Security

Poppy Studios limits its own collection and keeps gameplay information on the device. We use established platform providers for advertising and purchases. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps appropriate to the limited information we handle.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Wordwyrm’s features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The date at the top will show when the policy was last revised. Material changes will be communicated in an appropriate way.
